An Airman at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Chino’s girl for the back half of Night School, alongside Olivia and Homeboy. She catches his eye in Mission Control, accepts the commissary date, and ends up in the officers’ latrine with him while the janitor jiggles the locked handle outside.

Description

Young, sparkling-eyed, playful: she leans into the date’s absurd terms with genuine mischief (we’ll go on a date with you, if you sit down and have a conversation), laughs through the Star Wars opener, and is last seen blushing in a hallway as Chino bolts past her from the janitor and the security guard.

Role in Volume 01

In Night School, Cindy meets Chino’s gaze in Mission Control and holds it; at the commissary she and Olivia set the terms, take the boys’ hands, and walk out past Karen’s disbelief. Her big scene is the officers’ latrine (Oh! Chino!, soft, through the door), which ends when the janitor returns with a security guard and Chino does what Chino does: cheese it, around the corner, leaving her blushing in the hallway. She doesn’t appear again; the rocket launch overtakes the romance.
