A tall, furred, snarling werewolf who fights Hugo in the opening Kumité bout of Big Trouble in Chinatown. He charges first and loses: the molten fists belong to Hugo, not to him.

Description

Tall, furred, snarling, “a nightmare filtered through a werewolf documentary.” He fights on claws and instinct, breath fogging in short bursts.

Role in Volume 01

In Big Trouble in Chinatown, he opens the night’s card against the Mountainous Man, charging in with claws out and eyes wild. Hugo steps aside and catches him across the jaw with a molten palm (“a crisp yelp echoed off the walls”), then straddles him and hammers down with blazing fists until the werewolf twitches once and stills. The referee stops it. The crowd erupts.

• He exists to demonstrate what Hugo’s fists do to a supernatural heavyweight before Killian’s fight raises the stakes.
