Anita runs with Mary Jane’s crowd. She walks into Sarah Yazzie’s birthday party as part of Homeboy Alpha’s entourage and ends the night naked on the couch in a tangle of limbs with Alpha and Mary Jane.

Description

The text gives Anita no individual description. She arrives as one of “a small army of trouble dressed in low-cut tops and high expectations,” flanked by Mary Jane and Shanita.

Role in Volume 01

• Uncle Rob’s Time Portal: Enters Sarah’s house with Homeboy Alpha, Mary Jane, and Shanita. Hours later, when Chino surveys the aftermath, Anita is sprawled naked on the couch wrapped in the limbs of Mary Jane and a likewise naked Homeboy Alpha, “like a victory pose from a debauched Roman painting.”
• The Cursed Joint of Bayankala: Returns as part of Destiny’s circle.

Relationships

• Mary Jane, Shanita: her crew for the evening.
• Homeboy Alpha: arrives with him and ends the night wrapped around him.

Notes

• Anita has no spoken lines in the text. Her presence is the point: she is party infrastructure.
