Homeboy Alpha is Homeboy’s day-earlier duplicate. Chino and Homeboy meet him when they travel back through Uncle Rob’s time portal in Uncle Rob’s Time Portal. The text names them: the time-traveling original is Homeboy Prime; the fresher-faced version already living through that yesterday is Homeboy Alpha. (A Chino Alpha also appears in the same story: the day-earlier Chino, spotted spying on Sarah Yazzie’s house from across the street and through her bedroom window. He gets no further play.)

Alpha walks into Sarah’s birthday party flanked by Mary Jane, Shanita, and Anita, cocky and grinning ear to ear: “What’s up, vato?! Heard you were gay. Sorry I didn’t bring dick for you, but I brought the ladies. Where’s the weed?” The two Homeboys meet (“Dude!” “Dude!” “Another Homeboy!” “Another Homeboy!”) before the night dissolves into the orgy. Hours later Chino finds Alpha sprawled naked on the couch wrapped in the limbs of Mary Jane and Anita, “like a victory pose from a debauched Roman painting,” while Prime spoons Chad. Chino wakes him (“Hey… Homeboy… wake up. We gotta get going”), and Alpha, sobering button by button, walks with them back to Uncle Rob’s garage and through the dying portal.

Role in Volume 01

• Uncle Rob’s Time Portal: His only appearance. Arrives with the ladies, ignites the “Dude!”/“Dude!” reunion, parties, and exits through the portal with Prime and Chino.

Relationships

• Homeboy (Prime): his original; the two coexist for one night and nothing breaks.
• Mary Jane, Shanita, Anita: his entourage for the evening.
• Chino: the one who wakes him up and walks him home through time.

• His counterpart Chino Alpha is text-canon but has no dossier yet: a Phase 3 decision.
