Uncle Rob’s Surveillance Equipment

Aliases: none Status: Major Origin: Uncle Rob Wielder: Uncle Rob and the crew

This is a catalogue page for distinct devices, not a claim that they form one machine. Rob’s surveillance kit spans the Vandenberg operation and later remote reconnaissance, and its capabilities are substantial enough to document together — provided each device keeps its own identity and none of them gets credited with anything the text doesn’t show.

Robotic black pills

Small black pills that fly, sprout legs, and enter electronic systems. Deployed during the Vandenberg operation, they are Rob’s answer to the problem of getting inside a secured facility’s electronics without being inside them himself. What they recorded, and what exactly they were sent to do, is not established.

HUD glasses

Glasses with a heads-up display showing tracking data and live views. Paired with the pills and other assets, they turn Rob — or whoever wears them — into a one-man operations center: targets tracked, feeds live, all of it floating in front of his eyes. The exact range and resolution of what the glasses can show remain unquantified.

The self-destructing phone

A phone that displays data and a countdown, and is reported to self-destruct. The operative word is reported: the phone is said to destroy itself, and the text gives the data display and the countdown as observed facts. Whether the self-destruct ever fires is left to the report, not the record.

The dog-sized tank drone

A drone roughly the size of a dog, built on what the text calls a “tank” chassis, supplying thermal imaging and communication — Rob watches events through its feed and speaks through its speaker during the vampire-compound reconnaissance. Two cautions, because this is where readers invent things: no drone gunfire is ever shown, and “tank” describes the chassis, not a weapons specification. It is a surveillance platform with treads, not an armored vehicle with a cannon.

The attic death ray

Mentioned only, and used unverified. Rob’s attic contains a death ray in the sense that the text says so and goes no further — no demonstrated firing, no confirmed target, no aftermath. It earns this note and nothing more.

Role in Volume 01

  • Night School: The Vandenberg operation is the equipment’s showcase — the pills infiltrate, the glasses coordinate, and the phone keeps its countdown. See Vandenberg for the operation context. What the equipment actually obtained, and whether any of it caused the final spacecraft blackout, is not established.

Role in Volume 02

  • Of Rednecks and Vampires: The tank drone does remote reconnaissance of the east-end vampire compound — thermal imaging for the approach, communication for the diplomacy, with Rob watching through its feed while Uncle Hank holds a rifle on Chino.
  • Lucy Ex Machina: The attic death ray gets its mentioned-only appearance. Use remains unverified.

Notes

  • Exact mission objectives, data obtained, and causation of the final spacecraft blackout remain unknown. The equipment is documented; its results are not.
  • No drone gunfire is shown. “Tank” does not establish weapon specifications.
  • The attic death ray is mentioned, never used on the page. Do not write it a firing sequence.
  • These are distinct devices catalogued together for convenience, not components of a single surveillance machine.
