Redneck Vampires

Aliases: none Status: Supporting

The Ominous Forest vampire coven: rifle-armed vampires with Confederate tattoos, patrolling a compound of sheds and cabins with assault rifles, shotguns, and pistols. They are converted rednecks, not born vampires; per Count Dragula’s intel and Uncle Hank’s guess, the Ominous Forest rednecks kidnapped the frat vampires and forced them to turn the clan immortal. They are a distinct entity from the human Redneck Militia (see Notes). Their “grand wizard” is Nagan.

Role in Volume 02

  • Of Rednecks and Vampires: Their only appearance. A lone Redneck Vampire catches scouts Chino, Homeboy, and Count Dragula (“Get up, boy”) and marches them to Nagan’s throne room, where a circle of them holds rifles on the kneeling prisoners. One rushes in breathless to warn Nagan of trouble brewing. When Chino parleys, they escort him and Dragula out to the forest edge. After the peace, they fall under Nagan’s pledge that the coven will never feast on humans involuntarily, and Nagan proposes vampire-hunting business with Uncle Hank regarding errant clan members.

Notes

  • The Redneck Vampires are a vampire coven and are NOT the Redneck Militia, the human one-off group from Volume 01. Keep the two dossiers separate.
  • The frat vampires they kidnapped are implied to be Jacob and Edward’s V1 frat, converted off-page; the prose never confirms it outright, so this dossier does not claim it as fact.
  • No individual coven member is named in the prose besides Nagan; the group carries the entry.
