The Kush Fairies are the three-foot-tall fairy workforce staffing Mrs. Dealer’s edibles factory in Mrs. Dealer and the Edibles Factory. They zip through the air on delicate wings, wear Mrs. Dealer’s Edibles shirts and hats customized with wing holes, and run the production line: stirring bubbling cauldrons of THC-infused butter, dusting treats with sparkly cannabis sugar, rolling, cutting, and packaging an endless stream of edibles. They came out of the forest when the crew harvested the illegal redneck weed, an explanation both Chino and Homeboy accept on the spot. Named members include Trixie (kitchen) and Lexi (hydroponics); the HR department is one of them in a sharp suit, and the front desk has a fairy receptionist.

Description

Tiny, three-foot, dragonfly-winged, with oversized eyes and confident smirks. They grumble at newcomers, let out disgruntled murmurs when interrupted, and giggle in crowds. Homeboy asks why they aren’t singing. That’s Oompa Loompas, guey.

Role in Volume 01

• Mrs. Dealer and the Edibles Factory: their showcase story. They staff the kitchen, the processing plant catwalks, and the hydroponics lab. When a fairy pops up in Homeboy’s face and he drops her by pure hood reflex, the swarm turns: dozens of fairies attack him at once, and the hydroponics warehouse becomes a battlefield of tiny fists and wings. Greg wades through the unconscious fairies to talk Homeboy down, Chino de-escalates him with a fistful of edibles, and the HR fairy hauls both boys into his office for the mercy reassignment to packing and shipping. The HR fairy’s verdict on what he’d do with them: bake them into edibles and feed them to the Kush Monsters.

The Adventures: Volume 02

• Uncle Rob and the Edibles Factory: Cheer the takeover, then join the revolt and seize the factory alongside the Kush Monsters. The HR fairy is last seen wailing over the cigar burn Uncle Rob left on her desk.

Relationships

• Mrs. Dealer: the boss; it’s her factory and her shirts.
• Greg: the Kush Monster foreman who supervises them; they gather to watch his closet-door discovery and giggle.
• Trixie & Lexi: named fairy staff.
• Chino & Homeboy: the new hires; Homeboy is their war.

• The fairies’ origin (the forest, the redneck harvest) ties them directly to the events of Nature Sucks.
